Courses in summer term 2016 / Praktikum Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence

In this praktikum we will cover practical topics from the area of optimization techniques covered in last terms lecture. Praktikum will also cover the understanding of the differences between the methods and analyzing the conditions in which a method is more suitable than others.

The students will get an optimization problem for which they try to find and implement a suitable method to solve this problem.

• Students are encouraged to make a group of 2-3.
• Implementation should be done in java or MATLAB.

Organization:

• Groups can start immediately.
• Each group i supposed to give at least two presentations with a final presentation of the whole work.
• Weekly or biweekly updates/discussions on the progress of selected problem

Start: We start off on Monday, 11.04.2016. We make groups and issue problems to work on.
