Courses in summer term 2011 / BSc Seminar BI+AI+ML
Abstract
Please register for this course in LSF, if you would like to attend it.
The goal of this seminar is to examine web mining approaches. Web mining is a research area at the intersection of data mining, semantic web and collective intelligence that addresses the problem of developing models and techniques to infer and use knowledge from the large amount of information present on the web. Collaborative-filtering, link mining, trust prediction, object identification and tag recommendation belong to the family of well-known web mining areas, just to name a few of them. In this seminar, basic approaches to web mining will be analyzed as well as their application to real world problems.
