Business Intelligence (BI) refers to technologies, applicataions and practices for the collection, integration, analysis, and presentation of business information. In this lecture we will examine several BI and give emphasis on practical applications of theoretical knowledge and getting hands-on experience with real applications and software tools used for reporting, analyzing, and presenting data. We are going to study the following topics:

1. Models and phases of the Decision-Making Process
2. Decision Support Systems Characteristics and Capabilities
3. DSS User Interfaces
4. Structure and Components of Business Intelligence
5. Reporting and Querying
6. Data, Text, and Web Mining
7. Time-Series Analysis
8. Data Mining Project Processes
9. Intelligent Systems over the Internet.
