About Me

I studied computer science (minor in computational linguistics) at University of Freiburg, and received my PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) from University of Hildesheim. The title of my PhD thesis was "Supervised Machine Learning Methods for Item Recommendation".

In Hildesheim, I have lead the workpackage Recommender Algorithm Development in the EU project Dynamic Personalization of Multimedia (MyMedia). I am interested in supervised machine learning techniques, and in particular their application to recommender systems and text mining.

I joined Nokia in 2012 to work on HERE Maps.
